Our performances at the Houses of Parliament

We had a fantastic day at the Houses of Parliament. It was an early start, but once there we were looked after so well by Ian Lavery and his political advisor Liz Martin.

After singing to lots of people we had a tour of the Houses of Parliament, went for photographs on the Terrace overlooking the Thames and then ended in the gift shop.

On arrival back at Kings Cross we gave an impromptu performance of a few of our songs to anyone who was walking past. We think they liked it as they all clapped us.

The girls were a credit to our school and there were several comments from people throughout the day at how well they represented the school.

They even had enough energy to stay awake for the whole journey back home!

Many, many thanks to Pegswood Women's Institute and Karen Rochester, who financed the whole trip for us all.

Finally, many thanks to Ian Lavery for stepping in at the last minute to ensure the trip took place and we had somewhere to sing and someone to listen to us and to Liz Martin for looking after us on the day.
