Welcome to Pegswood Primary School
Our Ethos and Values
Pegswood is a very happy, friendly school and we are proud of our welcoming, family atmosphere, where children, parents and staff work together.
We want our children to enjoy school, to be enthusiastic and to work hard, in order to achieve their full potential. Therefore we give our children the widest and best educational opportunities possible, by striving to provide inspirational, challenging and creative learning opportunities.
We believe that high moral standards and teamwork are also vital to help our children to grow into confident and considerate individuals.
We are proud of our ever evolving Forest School and the role it plays in enriching our curriculum.
On behalf of all the staff, please feel free to come into school to find out more!

It's almost that time of year again..... @NlandSLS
After our recent Ofsted inspection on 21st and 22nd of June this year, we are delighted to share the publication of the report. Follow the link below to read it. https://t.co/kW2BDexA9f
In May and June we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with laughter and smiles. Today we mourn her death with sadness and memories. For all of us at school - young and those slightly older, she is the only monarch we have known. #QueenElizabeth

We've based our community display for the #QueensJubileeArtComp around @MrSteveAntony book The Queen's Hat and all the children in our school from Nursery to Year 6 designed their own hat. These fantastic ones on our railings are by Reception.
We are proud to have been awarded the Platinum School Games Mark again. Many thanks to everyone that's helped us over the year on our journey. @NBLSchoolGames
Big day today. My wonderful Year 6 students are releasing their #storytrail enterprise project to the world. They have written a gorgeous story for young children and their families to enjoy over the summer. @7Stories @NlandLibs @NlandSLS @PegswoodPrimary https://t.co/b3WUAayIBx
Our amazing Year 6 Enterprise teams are creating a reading trail around Pegswood with QR Codes. They have been inspired by @Literacy_Trust who created the trail in Leazes Park, Newcastle. We have Finance, Design, Digital, Writing & Publicity teams. @NlandSLS @WaterstonesMorp
