Safer Recruitment

At Pegswood Primary School, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. We recognise that recruiting the right staff is an important part of creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

We follow robust Safer Recruitment procedures in line with current safeguarding guidance. These procedures are designed to help us attract, appoint and retain staff who are dedicated to supporting the wellbeing, development and achievement of our pupils.

As part of our recruitment process, at least one member of every interview panel has completed accredited Safer Recruitment training. This helps ensure that safeguarding remains at the forefront of all appointment decisions and that appropriate checks are carried out effectively.
